13” Square Shouldered Gate Pins are used to prevent your pin from rotating within the post in a “behind the post” type installation. In this type of installation, the gate is constantly pulling to the side of the pin and the square shoulder of this pin prevents it from rotating in the hole which would cause your gate to sag.
