The Simpson Strong-Tie® HTTH™ heavy tension tie is an ideal solution for residential construction as well as light-framed wood commercial buildings. Tested per AC 155, the HTTH is the first nailed-on holdown to achieve up to 7,650 lb. allowable load, making it an economical solution when heavier loads are required. This heavy, single-piece formed tension tie is fastened with nails (in standard sizes for pneumatic nailers) or Strong-Drive® SD Connector screws.

  • Four-fold seat to reduce deflection
  • Tapered base optimized for increased strength and reduced deflection
  • Optimal nailing pattern reduces splitting at the end of the post and maximizes individual fastener capacity
  • Designed with a 0.185-in. fastener hole diameter, making it compatible with both nails and SD Connector screws
